Dr. Hristina Gadzheva
Dr.Hristina Gadzheva has graduated as a DVM from Thracian University in Bulgaria, Europe in 2000. Her passion in animals has begun back in her early childhood when she used to spend summer at her grandparents’ farm. She started her professional career as a rural veterinarian dealing primarily with farm animals and later, she worked as a chief veterinarian in a pig breeding farm.Prior immigrating to Canada, she worked as small animal practitioner for more than 3 years. After obtaining her Canadian license, she has worked as a full time veterinarian at Wood Buffalo Small Animal Hospital in Fort McMurray. She became a co-owner of Chaparral Veterinary Clinic in December, 2013.
Dr.Gadzheva enjoys travelling with her husband and exploring new places, reading and walking Jersey, the family dog.
She is interested in Small Animal Internal Medicine and Diagnostics.
Dr. Evgeni Gadzhev
Dr.Evgeni Gadzhev has been following his uncle’s footsteps in veterinary career. He obtained his veterinary degree from Thracian University in Bulgaria, Europe in 1999. He has more than 15 years of experience working as a full time vet. After his graduation, he moved to the countryside where he worked as a mixed practitioner for 2 years. Then, he moved back to his hometown and became a co-owner of a small animal clinic where he has worked until he moved to Canada in 2005. Since obtaining his Canadian license, Dr.Gadzhev has worked as a full time veterinarian at Wood Buffalo Small Animal Hospital in Fort McMurray and Kent Veterinary Clinic in Agassiz, BC. He started working at Chaparral Veterinary Clinic in October, 2013 and later,he become its owner.
In his spare time,Dr.Gadzhev enjoys spending time with his family and friends, hiking and biking. His hobby is photography. He has a special interest in Small Animal Surgery and Dentistry.
Andrea made her big move from Switzerland in 2002 and settled for 8 years in Canmore. She started working at the Bow River Veterinary Clinic as a kennel assistant and worked her way up to reception. In 2010 she moved her family to Calgary where she started at the Chaparral Veterinary Clinic (while under different ownership) for a year, left, then came back to stay! Her special interest is in canine behaviour and she is hoping to start her training with the Karen Prior Academy in 2015.
In her spear time she loves spending time with her 2 kids and dogs, Hooch (pit/Mastiff) and Pino (Doberman).
